Did She Really Not Know?

SO, I'm kinda late, but I didn't watch the AMA's so that's my excuse. Apparently Willow Smith wore a Mildred Von knock off, and Von is upset. Though it was cute, and normal people like me and you wear knock offs all the time, (don't shake your head no, you do!!) it's unacceptable for someone not so normal and in the lime light...and dressed by stylist Marial Haenn!!! GASPSS!!

Marial Haenn, also Rihanna's stylist, is always equipped with the newest and hottest designer trends. She often takes looks right off the runway when dressing Rih Rih. Sources say Haenn denied being involved in designing or stealing the idea, but they didn't say she was unaware. It's hard for me to believe that she didn't know the yellow harness she put on Willow was a "fake," so the real question is why? Why would you dress your client in a knock off? Is it because she's 10 years old? Is the Smith family not paying you enough? (doubt it)...I'm a little baffled..

Here's what Mildred Von, head designer of Mother of London had to say:

"I’m disappointed and saddened that this will negatively impact my business. My original design is now recognized in the mass media as someone else’s work, and it’s very hurtful on both a personal and professional levels. I hope this can be resolved, and I wish nothing but the best to Willow."

Whose fault is it really? Not little Willow, how is she suppose to know, Haenn is suppose to be the expert.. I'm not gonna point any fingers, I'm not a stylist and I don't know everything that goes on with styling, but I do think the same effort should go into every client. At the end of the day, it's your name that's on the line and you're only as good as your last "job" or project. Even though Willow is little, her name is BIG, so she's gonna get critiqued and talked about just as if she was grown...do right by her!!
